Your photographs will become a part of the movement towards a more sustainable planet, as they are integrated into the materials we produce to create awareness about the urgency of protecting our precious watersheds.
The Redwood Empire Chapter of Trout Unlimited invites you to join us in celebrating our beautiful natural resources with a summer of nature-inspired photography. As you enjoy the great outdoors this season, take pictures as you go, and submit them online for our “celebrity” judges to recognize with certificates, praise, and prizes. Why not be a part of something wild this summer?

Prizes include: Peak Design Everyday Sling 5, REI Ultralight Flash 18 Pack, Tacky Fly Fishing Fly Box. And the honor knowing your photo rocked!
The categories for entries are: Best Scenic/Wildlife Photo; Best Angling Photo; and Best Watershed Conservation Photo.
- Best Scenic/Wildlife Photo: Share with us your best photograph of fish, bugs, wild animals, flowers, mountains, valleys, forests, and canyons. Did you capture a majestic scene of a beautiful Sonoma, Mendocino or Humboldt county watershed untouched by human hands? Show us!
- Best Angling Photo: Alone on the river in waders and mist, tying flies by the edge of a fast moving creek, teaching our grandkids to cast, or bbq-ing that perfect catch at the campsite - share you awesome shots of anglers and angling in all the various ways we enjoy fishing.
- Best Watershed Conservation Photo: Capture watershed restoration work that is completed or still in progress. Whether it’s a photograph of people at work cleaning up a creek, salmon monitoring in action, or an unparalleled example of woody debris fish habitat installations - use your photos to inspire people to protect our watersheds.

Photos can be taken at any time - you may have some winners already! We ask for a $10 donation for each entry to put towards conservation projects in Northern California - up to three photos per entry. Thank you for your help and have fun out there.
Pro Tip: Our judges do their best to be completely unbiased, but they absolutely LOVE California watersheds!
By submitting an image, you are certifying that it was taken by you and you are granting Redwood Empire Trout Unlimited (RETU) a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free license to publish it in editorial, educational, promotional and other uses. You also grant RETU permission to use your name in connection with the photograph and you certify that all persons appearing in the image grant RETU permission to publish the photo. Any published photo will be credited with the caption "© Photographer's Name." (Permission to publish images of children must be obtained from a parent or legal guardian.)
